Alonaki is a beach in the Prefecture of Preveza.
It is a natural haven near the community of Valanidorachi and is located halfway between Preveza and Igoumenitsa.
The main features of the beach, apart from the surrounding forest, include a prominent adjacent rock formation.
This beach was used as a landing point for Allied troops at the end of World War II.
Today, one can still see the layers of concrete on the beach, which testify to its crucial geopolitical position in the Ionian Sea.
Alonaki is a protected area where any human intervention, including camping, is prohibited.
The beach is also known for its exceptionally clear water and dense vegetation, primarily consisting of trees and shrubs.
